Boredom has something to do with waiting. Something to do with slowness. It is Molasses. It has something to do with desire and something to do with the lack of otherness. It is a certain magazine page. Boredom comes pre and post desire, before and after because it cannot come during. It also cannot climax.
Boredom is not necessarily the antithesis of desire. Maybe it could be seen more like a reflection on stability and instability. It is a lazily stable constant, but also fleeting, unrememborable feeling. It is anorexic. Hardly nothing, but something. Lack is something. It is not restless-ness but the means toward activity by perusing of inactivity.
The mechanics of work and un-work.
I prefer to be bored because it affords me the ability to not be seen as accountable. I am only here posing.
